broadcast will return Golden Globe Awards on television after celebrities and NBC, which broadcasts it, boycotted the 2022 ceremony over ethical lapses at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the award’s awarding body.
Among the big names that are expected to attend today’s ceremony are Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, directors James Cameron and Steven Spielberg, and the star of the movie “ElvisAustin Butler is the favorite to win Best Actor.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on Comcast-owned NBC television and streamed online on the Peacock platform at 8 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. Pacific time.
“Elvis” will compete for the award for Best Motion Picture Drama opposite “The Way of Water” “Waterway,” the long-awaited sequel to “AvatarAmong the competing films are also the movie (The Fablemans) directed by Steven Spielberg, and the movie “Tarr” starring Cate Blanchett.
“The Banshees of Incheon”, which has the most nominations, is seen as the frontrunner for the award for best comedy or musical.
