The report confirmed that the Emirates sport succeeded at the beginning of the foreign participations for the year 2022 in winning 50 colored medals, and obtaining third place in the third Gulf Games that were held in Kuwait from May 16 to May 31, with the participation of more than 1,700 male and female players from the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. They competed in 16 individual and team sports.
The UAE delegation finished its participation in the tournament in third place with 50 colored medals, 18 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze.

The closing day of the third Gulf Games in Kuwait witnessed a unique event when the National Olympic Committee received the flag of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah International Tennis Complex, marking the UAE’s hosting of the first Gulf Youth Games next year 2023.
