Riyadh (AFP) – Al-Nasr Club, leaders in the Saudi Football League, announced the arrival of Argentine goalkeeper Agustin Rossi to sign him from Boca Juniors until the end of the current season.
Al-Nasr wrote on his Twitter account late on Monday evening, “Argentine goalkeeper Augustin Rossi has arrived in Riyadh, and he will conduct a medical examination tomorrow before completing the procedures for contracting him until the end of the season.”
The 27-year-old Rossi, who was reported last month to have been interested in the Italian Inter, carried the colors of Boca Juniors since 2017, and he loaned him to Chilean Antofagasta and Lanus in 2019 and 2020. On January 9, the Brazilian club Flamengo announced a preliminary contract with a Russian, which will start from July 2023 until the end of 2027.
Al-Nasr signed a contract with Rossi, the three-time Argentine league champion with Boca, after his Colombian goalkeeper, David Ospina, was injured.
And Al-Nasr included the veteran Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the best player in the world five times, last December 30 until 2025, in a fictional deal through which he would get more than 400 million euros, according to club sources.
