Some of the best Korean dramas in the suspense, action, comedy, romance and historical categories are listed below. Find your soul! You do not have to say “Kumawao”.
Distributed by the Korean Broadcasting System, Healer is a 20-episode action, thriller and romantic drama series. The action series features Park Min-young, Joo Ji-ta and Ji-chang Wook. Kim Jin-woo and Lee Jung-all directed Song Ji-na’s plot. The plot centers on a person popularly known as a healer. Watch the series and find comfort for yourself.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Rio (2016)
Scarlet Heart Rio is an SBS drama series, written by Jo Young-Young and directed by Kim Kyu-tae. The story is of a young woman who travels centuries ago and falls in love there. Despite the play being popular, it has not yet been renewed for a second season. Lee Ji-yun, Lee Joon-ji and Kang Ha-neul star in the historical-romantic drama.
This can be an evergreen drama because every time I watch it again, I like, “Omo.” Park Shin-hye and Lee Min-ho made the best onscreen pairing in Kim Yoo-sook’s drama plot. We follow the love story of a rich man and a poor girl in this romantic teen drama. Kang Shin-hyo and Boo Sung-chul directed the play for SBS distribution.
Strong Girl Gong Soon: (2017)
The play is known for its interesting romantic comedy plot. Lee Hyung-min and Baek Mi-kyung directed and scripted the play for the distributor, JTBC. If you haven’t seen it yet, I will literally force you to watch it. Park Hyung-sik, Ji Soo, Park Bo-young will lead the plot.
This Is Not Right Is Right: (2002)
It was produced by the hyper-romantic and emotional Korean drama Park Shin-woo under the banner of Studio Dragon. We will follow a trio who have their own scars for their journey to treat them. It’s Ok Not Be Ok has been released on TVN and is also available on Netflix. Kim Soo-hyun, Oh Jung-si, Seo Ya-ji and Park Geu-young star in the series.
Goblin: The Lonely and Great God (2016)
Yet another Studio Dragon production, Goblin is one of South Korea’s most favorite dramas. The fictional and romantic drama was written by Kin Yook-sook. The series was directed by three directors for 16 episodes, with Lee Yung-bok Kul. The plot revolves around an immortal ghost who is looking for his wife. Goblin includes Kim Go-yoon, Gong Yoo, Yoo In-na, Yuk Sung-jae and Lee Dong-wook.
Descendants of the Sun: (2016)
A very melodious narrative drama, Descent of the Sun was distributed by KBS. The story exposes the complexities of the two soldiers and their relationship with their allies. The series comes from Lee Yung-bok, director of Goblin under the banner of KBS Drama Production. Jin Goo, Kim Ji-won, Song Jong-ki and Song Hye-Kyo Star of the Sundance.
