Cyberpunk 2077 update roadmap: The head of CDPR recently released a video apologizing for the hasty release of Cyberpunk 2077.
They also shared a roadmap detailing how they would know about future updates to the game. In the video, the head of CDPR apologized, stating how the company would act in the future. As a roadmap, we may have to wait a bit longer for new material. Here you need to know about the current situation.
Brief explanation of what happened …
Cyberpunk 2077 was set to take the world by storm and was the most awaited game ever. However, the rocky launch was not well received due to bugs and poor performance on previous-gen consoles. The CDPR did no favor for the report of forced overtime and release of the game.
In a recently released video by CDPR, it was revealed that the company’s intentions were to make the game great on the first PC. Adaptation to peace was later said to be noticeable. A brief review of Cyberpunk 2077 by Metacritic on PlayStation and Xbox bears testimony to this statement. It was also well liked by PC gamers during the rocky launch of the cyberpunk game.
Maybe DLC you think…
The roadmap reveals the following sequence of updates and patches to be released for the game in 2021:
- Patch 1.1 (January)
- Patch 1.2 (February)
- Free dlc (mid 2021)
- Free next-gen console update (late 2021)
According to CDPR, they initially inspired the game to have a great PC viewing and later a console experience. The company apologized for not showing any footage of the earlier gen-console experience.
CDPR has introduced some improvements to the console called patches 1.1 and 1.2. Patch 1.1 is set to release in January and patch 1.2 is set to release in February. CDPR claims that both patches will take note of the most prominent issues faced by joint-gen console players. However, the quality will still not be comparable on PCs.
Given this, we will not be able to look at the free DLCs in early 2021, following the rest of the roadmap. The roadmap indicates that the DLC will be available to the public by the end of March or early April. The DLC will be released in the midst of several improvements and updates according to the roadmap. A new update for the next generation of consoles will be available by the end of 2021.
The head of the CDPR also said that all changes will be made, ensuring that no compulsory overtime is imposed on employees. The CDPR has also stated that avoiding future time constraints will be one of their top priorities.
