Emirates News Agency – Bellingham and Fernandez are the most desirable deals.. European clubs are preparing for the last hours in Mercato

From Ahmed Zahran.

ABU DHABI, 25 January / WAM / With the player transfer market approaching its end, several clubs have made intensive attempts to settle a number of deals before the closing of the “Winter Mercato” next week.
The big clubs are seeking to finalize their negotiations to include more than one player during the few days remaining to close the transfer window, especially with the intensity of competition in more than one tournament after the resumption of the current football season after the hiatus due to the 2022 World Cup.
It seems that the 19-year-old English international Jude Bellingham will capture the greatest amount of controversy and interest in the transfer market during the remaining days of closing the transfer window, in light of the interest of more than one major club to sign him this winter and not wait for the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund insists on keeping the player in its ranks, knowing that Bellingham’s contract extends until June 2025. Therefore, the German club set 150 million euros as a financial consideration to dispense with the player, which makes it difficult for most clubs to compete for this deal.
Despite this, other clubs, such as Spanish Real Madrid, may resort to using some of their players to enter into a mutual deal that reduces the amount of money required.
Real Madrid is striving to settle the deal in the current winter mercato for fear of other clubs entering into strong competition for the player during the summer of 2023, especially with the interest of large English clubs, including Liverpool, to include the player in their ranks.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid sets its sights on the Argentine player Enzo Fernandez, the Portuguese star of Benfica, who was crowned the best young player in the 2022 World Cup.
Benfica insists on obtaining the value of the penalty clause included in the player’s contract in order to neglect it, and the value of the penalty clause is 120 million euros, which prompted the club to reject Chelsea’s offer, which amounted to more than 70 million euros.
Despite the desire of other clubs such as Barcelona to include the player and compete with Real Madrid for this deal, the financial consideration seems to prevent them from entering the race for the player, at least during the current winter Mercato.
In addition to Bellingham and Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, 21, the English Brighton player, enjoys great interest from several clubs, especially English Premier League clubs, led by Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, and the next few days may witness the transfer of the young player to any of the three clubs.
At the same time, Liverpool is looking forward to settling the deal for the Moroccan player Sofiane Amrabat, the Italian midfielder of Fiorentina, who made outstanding performances with the Moroccan national team in the 2022 World Cup. next.
