FARO® launches new web shareware software ‘Enterprise’ feature – Tech

An extension of the widely used FARO Web Share platform, the Enterprise feature allows data to be stored on a company’s private server or cloud infrastructure, allowing complete control and access to and sharing of its 3D reality data Ensures a fast and easy way of. FARO WebShare is a cloud or server-based hosting platform that provides real-time access to the latest in-built 3D reality data for project management and scan-to-BIM workflows worldwide. WebShare supports unlimited size data and is source agnostic. Data can be viewed, evaluated and shared by authorized individuals using only a web browser. All common industry standard formats are supported for data download, enabling intuitive and collaborative workflows. WebShare supports multiple reality data sources and provides users with a conversion-free way to export point cloud, including other popular industry standard formats such as Autodesk REAP and Bentley Points.

For the AEC industry, FARO WebShare also enables the integration of 3D reality data as part of the digital twin for the operation and maintenance of buildings and facilities and for continuous monitoring of the construction process. Best suited for large organizations in manufacturing, process or government work, Websark is ideal for those who prefer to host their own data while remaining committed to the highest security standards offered by FARO.

The planned integration of ATS software and proprietary traceable 3D systems will enable highly accurate and repetitive 3D scans in the FARO WebSare platform, which extends customer time to decision making with 10x faster imaging at 1mm accuracy. The digital twin capability is an important next step because it provides a virtual representation of a physical property. By creating this duplicate, the digital twin serves as a virtual blueprint for ongoing operations, future planning, and implementation activities.
