Bihar Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana 2020-2021
Bihar cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar has approved the proposal to start Didi’s kitchen scheme in hospitals of all districts and sub-divisions. In these kitchens, food will be cooked by women attached to the Self Help Group (SHG). Didi’s kitchen scheme will be run by Jeevika Didis across the state.
Jeevika Didi to Implement Didi Ki Rasoi Yojana
Didi’s kitchen scheme project was initially launched on an experimental basis in Vaishali district. Later, under the Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (BRLPS), the facility was expanded to Saharsa, Purnia, Buxar, Shehar and Sheikhpura districts. There are about 1.20 crore “Jeevika Didi” associated with 10.2 lakh women self-help groups. CM Nitish Kumar has directed the officials to extend the project to other districts as well.
Diesel run auto rickshaw to run in Patna
The Bihar Cabinet Committee has approved the proposal of the Transport Department to allow diesel-powered auto-rickshaws in areas falling in the state capital. Diesel autos will also run in Danapur, Khagal and Phulwarisharif Municipal Councilors for the financial year 2021-22.
Earlier, orders were issued by the state transport department to ban diesel-powered autos under PMC areas from 31 January 2021 to improve air quality and reduce pollution. Similarly, autos were to be banned in the Danapur, Khagaul and Phulwarisharif municipal councilors from 31 March 2021. Diesel-powered autos will run until March 31, 2022, with the Cabinet’s seal on the proposal of the Transport Department.
Appointment of employees in Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Department
The Bihar cabinet approved the appointment of 3,883 permanent employees in the state’s revenue and land reforms department. The appointment will enhance the documentation of land records in the state. The CM said that while system analysts and programmers would be deputed at headquarters, data entry operators would be posted in circle offices.
Chief Minister Drinking Water Scheme
The state cabinet committee has also decided to release Rs. 300 crores from the State Contingency Fund for the implementation of the Chief Minister Drinking Water Scheme for the financial year 2020-21. The Chief Minister Drinking Water Scheme is being implemented by the state public health and engineering department. The cabinet also approved the proposal to release water resources department to Rs. 456 crores from the State Contingency Fund for the prestigious Ganga water lift scheme. The department will ensure supply of clean drinking water of Ganga to Rajgir, Gaya and Bodh Gaya cities in Patna under the scheme.
The cabinet also approved the formation of Bihar Judicial Officers Conduct Rules, 2021. These rules will replace the Bihar Judicial Officers Conduct Rules, 2017. The Bihar Cabinet meeting also approved the proposal of the Home Department and members of the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) to fix the term of the Chairperson and the term of office. A total of 14 resolutions were passed at the state cabinet meeting on 12 January 2021.
