Next door, the social networking program for neighborhoods, is adding a brand new Kindness Reminder feature to try and dissuade neighbors out of posting mean remarks.
Through the years, Next door has obtained a reputation for its petty and sometimes mean comments that some of its users leave on the stage, particularly in contrast to rival neighborhood message board Front Porch Forum.
The best examples of these can be located on the Twitter accounts Best of Next door which, somewhat unsurprisingly, the company ex-CEO Nirav Tolia wast particularly fond of. Kind replies make a difference the new Kindness Reminder reads.
In its beta test of the attribute, Nextdoor stated a significant number of consumers opted to edit their remarks after receiving the message.
The business adds that the attribute will co-exist together with the services existing human moderation gear.
The new Kindness Reminder is launch today in the US, and Nextdoor states it will launch globally in the coming months
