Rohit Roy’s latest project is a web series titled ‘Paper’ which was released on 13 November on Indian TheMiracleTech platform, Owl. For those who do not know, the paper is based on real-life scams, started by the notorious fraudster, Abdul Karuna Telgi. The streaming service has released 3 episodes so far and is quite entertaining.
Abdul Karim Telgi was a notorious figure in 2003 when he was finally caught by the police. The series tracks Abdul’s life – from his time as a child fruit seller (the wages he receives, he educated himself in school) to the country’s scamming king. His conversational skills are still legendary and his ability to explain any way of thinking is scary and will be featured in the series. The series will take on real events and create a fictional India for the show.
‘Paper’ mainly focuses on three people – Abdul, his “Lady Love” (portrayed by Kate Sharma) and Gaikwad (portrayed by Ganesh) in a police chase. Abdul’s gambling style of business makes him try to do something incredibly to satisfy his greed. It will soon become one of the biggest scams in India. The series will touch on all of this and the resulting catastrophe. Deep Paper ‘is directed by Deepak Pandey.
The crime thriller series was released by Owl as part of its Diwali release. This up-and-coming TheMiracleTech service is releasing weekly and original content weekly and has had quite a number of impressive shows. His promotional work has been exceptional, the cinematography has been spectacular and the artists have been exceptional. It is great to see that Indian TheMiracleTechs are stepping up their game in this brutal field and we applaud them for their amazing efforts so far.
