SimCopter is about chasing and catching criminals. The SO gamer is placed in the position of a helicopter pilot. The player first needs to choose from two versions of the game: User Mode and Career Mode. The user mode is the free mode, where the player goes to fly around the cities they have created, which they can import from SimCity 2000, or fly around any city they can from the given 30 cities. Can choose Career mode puts the gamer in a special job position that he has to do around the city.

In career mode, eight types of jobs are available to perform. Jobs are Traffic Jams, Fire, Rescue (this can happen during fire missions), Catching Criminals, Riot Control, Medevac, Transporting Sims and Speed Cars. So basically, the chopper needs to keep an eye on all kinds of things happening in the city.

To catch the criminals, the helicopter has to pick up the police officers from the police station and then roam the city. They can stop criminals by putting a spotlight on them and announce a ‘Stop Criminal’ message from the megaphone. Pedestrian offenders can also be prevented from landing directly on the helicopter’s RN, but this causes damage to the aircraft.

How to make money in SimCopter?

The game allows the player to win money and points by completing missions. Points can also face a deduction if the player fails to achieve an objective. There will be a considerable penalty if the player does not complete the MEDEVAC or Fire Mission. If any person dies in a fire mission, the player will take damage. There are twelve levels of difficulty, and the problem will increase as the player keeps completing the tasks assigned to him. Jobs are created across the city as the player continues to compete with them.

What are the helicopters and their upgrades that are available?

To start the game the player gets a small weak helicopter. The aircraft can hold only two passengers and comes with a megaphone and a bambi bucket. As the player levels up, he can then purchase new helicopters and upgrade to better equipment. The aircraft has to refuel every half hour, and if it runs out of fuel, the alternative is to let the motor run or crash. A helicopter crash causes a lot of damage to the player as he suffers heavy losses. If an aircraft is destroyed, the equipment, as well as all upgrades, are gone. The chopper models available to players include the Scweezer 300, Bell 206 JetRanger, McDonnell Douglas MD 500, McDonnell Douglas MD 520 Note, Bell 212, Augusta A-109, Dupin 2, McDonnell Douglas Explorer and Boeing AH-64 Apache.
