Star Wars Order: What is the best order to watch Star Wars movies?

If you are planning the final Star Wars film marathon, we can cover you. There can be many ways to view the saga, and one would love to see it according to the release date. You want it in a different order to give it another twist. The Star Wars franchise has a total of 9 films, with more movies and shows along the way.

There are three main ways of viewing the “Star Wars” saga, the release order, the chronological order or the popular “machete” sequence.

Chronological order

It is very simple and if you want to get yourself into the Star Wars franchise then there is a very forward sequence.

  • Episode I – The Phantom Menace
  • Episode II – Clone Attack
  • Episode III – Revenge of the Sith
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
  • Episode IV – A New Hope
  • Episode V – Empire Strikes Back
  • Episode VI – Return of the Jedi
  • Episode VII – The Force Awakens
  • Episode VIII – The Last Jedi
  • Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker

Machete order

The machete order is one of the most loved ones. It begins with the film’s original trilogy that surprises Vader’s performance. This match order was released by Star Wars fan Rod Hilton, which ends Episode I, “The Phantom Menace”, and creates a flashback to the series. It does not include Solo and Rogue One as its focus is primarily based on Skywalker.

  • a new Hope
  • the Empire Strikes Back
  • (Phantom mens, if you want)
  • Clone attack
  • revenge of the Sith
  • Return of the Jedi
  • The Force Awakens
  • The last jedi
  • Rise of skywalker

How to watch the saga with new movies
