The app, called What3words, assigns a three-word address to every 3m x 3m square in the world.
In accordance with what3words, these words are as accurate as GPS coordinates, and much easier to say and share.

During an emergency, callers can give a three-word speech on the telephone to talk about their exact location to authorities.
The Police can then input the 3 words into the what3words online map, before correctly routing into the exact location of the episode.
In accordance with what3words, the tool is currently being used by authorities across the UK, including in Humberside, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Supt. Nick Lylall, Bedfordshire Police said:”‘We had a significant accident road traffic collision had taken place.
“what3words Was utilized by the control space to identify where the accident had taken place. As a result, the first aid saved their life.”
