Trailer Talk: Netflix’s ‘Torbaaz’ is a powerful story of victims of terrorism

Netflix released the official trailer for its upcoming Hindi film ‘Torbaaz’ and despite being recognized as an action-thriller, it is going to be an emotional ride. Netflix also revealed that ‘Torbaaz’Will premiere on stage on December 11, 2020.

The film is set in Afghanistan, where an ex-army doctor (Sanjay Dutt) wants to set up a cricket training camp for children in a refugee camp. But given the state of war it is not an easy task. The leader of a radical group (Rahul Dev) who believes in violence and is fighting a war against Western forces, plans to use the children as suicide bombers.

The character of Sanjay Dutt is the one who lost his loved ones Aryan and Meera and understands the pain of the people in the refugee camp. He thinks cricket can help children in these camps face tough times and start preparing them for a competition.

Dutt’s character wants to change people’s perception about refugee children, who are often considered terrorists. In fact, he rightly states that these children are the first victims of terrorism.

On the other hand, radical leaders, who think them to be traitors and Westerners to be brutally murdered, are determined to abolish them. And for this they need specially trained refugee children, whom Dutt is not only teaching cricket, but also praying for them, thus lining them with each other. So will he be able to protect those children and their future?

According to Netflix, ‘Torbaaz’ is the story of a man who rises above personal tragedy and decides to take matters into his own hands. He is determined to train the children of the refugee camp in cricket, who would otherwise become suicide bombers. Will he succeed in driving them away from the path of destruction? “

Seeing this, ‘Torbaaz’ indicates a plot that touches the emotional aspects of loss and tragedy. But these feelings do not seem to be overpowering because cricket comes in the fun part. Sanjay Dutt and Rahul Dev’s amazing visuals and superb acting stole the show.

Directed and co-written by Girish Malik, ‘Torbaaz’ is led by Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakhri and Rahul Dev, featuring Gavi Chahal, Rahul Mitra and Pransh Chopra. Bharti Jakhar also works as a writer for the film. Raju Chadha, Ponty Chadha, Rahul Mitra, Puneet Singh and Girish Malik have produced ‘Torbaaz’ for Netflix.

‘Torbaaz’ is coming to Netflix on December 11, 2020.
