Both Deadpool and Wolverine will join the MCU sooner than later, so fans should expect their rivalry
Navigating the creative corners of Marvel’s upcoming fourth stage in its cinematic universe is going to be a very good job without proper continuity. But a major benefit of discovering those corners is the exciting rivalry that is to come. Doctor Strange’s Multiverse of Mad is set as an entry point for two new characters The x-men, While the quantum field may present the Fantastic Four. Between these new characters and those already blooming, we can see a plethora of characters and stories.
How Deadpool will enter MCU
One character that does not require any introduction at this stage is Ryan Reynolds Deadpool. The Mouth with a Mouth has already proved itself on the big screen by evolving from the worst comic character introduction to everyone’s favorite R-rated anti-villain. Ryan Reynolds first appeared as Deadpool in 2009’s X-Men: Origins and was out of character, even keeping his mouth shut. A few years later, and Merck was completely transformed into his solo film, which became one of the highest-grossing films of that year.

Plans to introduce Deadpool to the MCU have steadily moved forward, although it is difficult to say what role a self-conscious character like Deadpool could play. In a scene with the Avengers as interesting as Deadpool, Merck’s dishonesty can cause a beautiful visual problem for a certain category of fans. Disney has particularly strong family traditions and since most of Marvel’s films will be broadcast on the streaming service, a character like Disney +, Deadpool, will have to be largely eliminated.
Another issue is that Deadpool breaks the fourth wall and this level of self-awareness – which is not shared by other actors – can be difficult to integrate into a lead story. It is far less likely that they will decide to water any aspect of their personality to fit the narrative, as it will not go well with a lot of fans.
How to introduce mutants in MCU
The introduction of the X-Men leads to an extreme comeback – for one last film – that of Hugh Jackman – as Wolverine (Deadpool already dubbed a mutant in the MCU). If it does, then letting Wolverine and Deadpool visit each other would be great for MCU fans to watch.
Wolverine’s slow-aging ability means that he and Deadpool may be the only characters who remain the same across timelines in multiverse. With inter-galactic villains like Kang the Conqueror and The Beyonder, it’s unclear whether a Wolverine-Deadpool reunion would be friendly or hostile.
The Multiverse of Madewell will give Marvel the opportunity to not only introduce different characters simultaneously, but also explore other character arcs of already existing heroes. Are more likely to Robert Downey and Hugh Jackman appear in cameos Or an alternative timeline compared to an existing timeline plot.
Deadpool and Wolverine in multiplayer
For Deadpool though, the possibilities are wide. His ability to break the fourth wall could have made him the perfect tool that the MCU could use to stay on top of all the deadlines set to reveal to viewers. There is also the fact that Deadpool is not a hero at all. And in the comics, Merck battles with several members of The Avengers, The Fantastic Four and The X-Men, at different times. Perhaps they could decide to set him on a murder spree – like in the comics – and use him to clean up a lot of characters that are necessary. But we know that Deadpool is definitely not the Big Bad of Doctor Strange’s sequel, so every role he plays will be more than a supporting role.
Spiderman 3 is another interesting point to introduce Deadpool, Peter Parker also has the ability to jump into deadlines. There are already rumors that Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield are returning to play their own versions of Spider-Man in Multiverse. If they manage to shut it down, it is bound to go crazy.
Although Marvel has great faith in its ability to put all its stars in a boat, the right way to avoid messing up this continuity should be the primary focus. Rumor has it that Marvel Studios actually have big plans for Reynold’s Deadpool character. In the coming stages, Marvel Studios is considering bringing Reynolds down with a deal similar to RDJ.
With the epidemic still slowing down production, Marvel Studios has had to make changes to the release schedule of their film. At this point, the only show still slated for release is the WandaVision series which will air on Disney + in January.
One thing we are sure about is that Deadpool will show up in the MCU sooner or later. We can make some guesses about what role he will play. However, as Multiverse of Madness is going to happen, Deadpool may just be the exploration anchor.
